I created this painting to bring awareness to the fragile ecosystem that supports Florida’s endangered wildlife. The Florida panther, so rare and elusive, represents the delicate balance between nature and human encroachment.

Studying this animal as I painted made me appreciate even more how vital it is to protect these creatures and their habitats. Every detail — from the texture of the leaves to the softness of its fur — is a tribute to its place in our world and a reminder of what we stand to lose.
