Atop a sturdy nest high above the trees, a Great Blue Heron tends to her two chicks, their wings outstretched in anticipation. The layered blues of their plumage and the intricate weave of the nest come together to capture a tender family moment alive with energy and care.
The Story Behind the Canvas
This was one of the most exciting paintings I’ve ever worked on — a true labor of love. Every day, I found myself eager to return to the canvas, lost in the details of feathers, branches, and sky. Though it took a long time to complete, every hour spent brought me closer to the heart of this little family.
