The ocean shimmers in sunlight, its waves rolling onto the sand in layers of turquoise, white, and deep blue. At first glance, it feels calm and inviting, but just beyond the horizon, the sky darkens and heavy clouds begin to gather.
The Story Behind the Canvas
This scene captures the fleeting calm before the storm — a familiar sight during southern summers. One moment you’re basking in the warmth of the sun, and the next, the wind shifts, and a storm rushes in, reminding you of the ocean’s power.
I wanted to portray both the beauty and the unpredictability of the coast, where the sea and sky meet in a dramatic dance that can change in an instant.
